Dr. Jan Mayfield of New Hope Urgent Care attended UAB - The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine and then completed her Emergency Medicine Residency in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. She is experienced in Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care Medicine. She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). She was employed full time at Hamilton Medical Center Emergency Department in Dalton, GA and then for two years at Floyd Urgent Care in Rockmart, GA. She loved her patients in Rockmart and hopes that many of these patients will now be seen at the New Hope facility.
Dr. Mayfield is a great supporter of foster care and adoption. She has been a Bartow County foster parent. She has a ten year old son, Jacob, who is her greatest joy. If she is not at the clinic, then she can probably be found at a sporting event. She enjoys all sports especially those that involve her nephews or son. She is a member of Expedition Church in Cartersville, GA.
Dr. Mayfield is excited to have opened New Hope Urgent Care in the New Hope Community of Dallas, GA on March 2, 2009. Her staff is compassionate and experienced and take great pride in delivering outstanding patient care. The motto of the office is "to treat each patient as we would want to be treated" and we make every effort to do this daily.
